The Live Series: Songs of the Road

Bendita seja a internet. Além de democratizar informação para milhões, o internauta encontra ainda preciosidades como esta bela coletânea chamada The Live Series: Songs of the Road, que traz 15 canções de Bruce com temas relacionados à estrada, carros e viagens.

Todos os registros são ao vivo, com diferentes formações e décadas. As preciosidades são "Action in the Streets”, de 1977 e “Open All Night”, gravado no festival New Orleans Jazz and Heritage, em 2006, acompanhado da Seeger Sessions Band.

Outros destaques são "Highway 29", gravada em Belfast (Irlanda), em 1996, "Drive All Night", da turnê Reunion, de 1999, registrada no Madison Square Garden, em Nova York (EUA) e "Working On the Highway", gravado no Ippodromo delle Capannelle, em Roma (Itália), durante a turnê Wrecking Ball, em 2013.

Bridge School Concerts

Em 1986 Bruce Springsteen participa do Bridge School Concerts, show beneficente anual criado pelo cantor Neil Young e sua a ex-esposa, Pegi Young.

Os lucros dos shows realizados em Mountain View, na Califórnia (EUA), são revertidos a Bridge School, instituição que desenvolve atividades educacionais para crianças com severas deficiências físicas ou perturbações de fala.

Em 2011, para comemorar os 25 anos do primeiro show, um DVD triplo e um CD duplo chamado The Bridge School Concerts 25th Anniversary Edition foram lançados com apresentações gravadas durante esses concertos.

Entre os artistas estão Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney e The Who.

Além das apresentações, um dos DVDs traz um documentário sobre as atividades da Bridge School. O CD traz artistas que não constam no DVD, entre eles Norah Jones, Sarah McLachlan, Willie Nelson e Jack Johnson.

Durante o show, Bruce canta 10 músicas, entre elas "Born In The USA", que está no DVD, "Dancing In The Dark", "Mansion On The Hill" e "Seeds. É deste show a versão de "Fire" que foi incluída no DVD The Complete Video Anthology 1978-2000.

Bruce voltou a participa do Bridge Concert em 1995, desta vez sozinho no palco. No primeiro show, de 1986, Bruce tem a companhia do guitarrista Nils Lofgren e o tecladista Danny Federici.
